A few years ago one product dominated the patio building
material
market. In the case of residential sidewalks,
driveways and patios poured concrete used to be the
main option available. Now there are many, many
options readily available.
Pavers have, most recently, been
dominating the market. It is no surprise because of
the low maintenance needs and the many colors,
textures and shapes that are being developed for
this product. There are some local manufacturers who
are producing very nice high quality paver products.
Pavers are being marketed to the do it yourselfer,
but it needs to be recognized that paving
construction is labor intensive work that require
specialized tools and techniques. As a professional,
we possess the special tools and understand the
techniques that allow us to create the paving
project of your dreams. Natural Flagstone is one option that will be popular
for many years to come. Natural flagstone is
available is various colors and shapes to meet many
needs. Natural flagstone can be installed either on
a crushed stone base or on top of a poured concrete
pad with mortar joints. The methods of construction
will produce different looks in the landscape,
however both construction methods will produce
projects that are enjoyed for many, many years.

Patio Portfolio
This photo shows square cut flagstone
installed onto a concrete base with mortar joints.

This porch was originally concrete. Stone
was veneered to the top of the concrete for a much
nicer front entry.

A large irregular
flagstone patio set on a stonedust base creates an
additional entertaining area at the rear of this
house. Note the firepit at the edge of patio. Check
this site again during the summer of 2007 as we are
planning to add a large pond and waterfall next to
the patio.

A paver patio was
installed around a pool and a fire pit was installed
into a lawn area. The paver patio was extended at a
later time to completely surround the fire pit and
create access from the side yard. BEFORE:

This rear yard sloped
away from the house, so the elevated paver patio
created a level entertaining area. The deck above

A raised paver patio is another option
instead of a deck.

A paver patio and sitting wall create a

A patio was created on the roof of a

The original concrete
sidewalk was ugly and boring. A beautiful curving paver sidewalk creates an inviting entryway to this
